This is for a custom, made in the USA (By me!), Hand forged Damascus steel ring made of the revolutionary new high contrast 100% Stainless Steel "V2" Damascus!
What is "V2"?
V2 is 100ish layers of austenitic stainless steel and martensitic stainless steels meticulously forge welded together into a billet of material that produces the boldest contrast stainless steel damascus possible. Unlike most "Stainless steel damascus" rings which are made out of 304/316, two Austenitic varieties of stainless steel, our rings our made with the two most dissimilar materials from two completely separate metallurgical categories of stainless steel. The result is bolder contrast then could ever be obtained by using two similar alloys, while still retaining the physical properties of stainless steel desirable in a ring! The results are stunning contrast with no need for photography tricks, our rings are photographed in natural light too show their true beauty!
Unlike traditional "Carbon Damascus" steel rings which can cause skin reactions and actively leach nickel, these rings are made of alloys used in the biomedical and surgical industries and we are even in the process of obtaining EU1811 Certification on our rings!
What's this mean for you? It mean's that we're willing too put our money where our mouth is and spend thousands of dollars on tests that will certify our product too be SAFE for prolonged human skin contact by avoiding toxic, leaching nickel. This process is a long one, but it's underway and we're proud enough of our product and confident enough of it's properties to pursue this standard!
