You just got defeated, and you’re a little sad. You did a bit of googling to see if it’s a big deal, and Crap…… it is! Or at least it could be. You’re pretty bummed, your trip may be ruined- or maybe you just need a zip tie and an M6 bolt? What if it’s really that easy? What if the part you need but can’t get in time, is a common part for a jeep, and I happen to know they stock it at Autozone?
Hmmmmm……

I’m Broken Down on the Side of the Road!

First off- Are You Safe?
Is the Van Safe?
If you just broke down and you truly don’t know where else to go- let’s talk.
If you’re lost, and scared, CALL me.

The first 15 minutes of a breakdown is FREE! (Once)
I probably don’t have more than 15 minutes to chat, so beyond that- we’re getting you towed, safe, and a plan together- and that’s going to transition to paid consulting.
But right now you’re broken down, you need help- I have advice and I LOVE this community, CALL ME!
If possible- PLEASE, text me first, and i’ll call YOU! If I don’t pick up when you call me, leave me a message- but sometimes those don’t get seen for a while either. If you want to get in touch with me the fastest and ensure it’s at least been seen, text first.

Okay, but there’s a very important FORMAT FOR THIS.

Whether calling or texting, it starts with this:
”Hi, i’m John Smith, traveling in my 1989 VW Vanagon in Vermont, and i’m broken down”
(Start with who you are, differentiating you’re not looking for a ring or blacksmithing question, where you are)
”I have a stock WBXer Engine”
(Or Subaru, or whatever- but get that out of the way EARLY)
”I did this thing, and this thing happened”
(Describe the issue, in great detail, every relevant circumstantial thing and predicate symptom)

Our pricing is based on $100 for the first 1-60 minutes then 15 minute chunks for an additional $25/1-15 minute chunk. (as part of the same continuous, scheduled call)

We can discuss all your problems, estimate repair costs, discuss some options, look into used parts availability and pricing, etc etc etc.

Are you a professional shop with a client’s bus that’s got you feeling a little in over your head? It happens, a LOT! Let’s chat about it, hopefully we can get you on the right direction. Seriously, these cars are extremely weird, extremely specific, and I can’t imagine we haven’t seen the problem you’re dealing with before- we literally rebuild these things in distant fields for the shear goal of making it harder!
