Flying In
You’ll Fly in to Pittsburgh International Airport. The shop is about 50 minutes from the airport. If you’re not renting a car, there’s a pretty great network of Ubers around the city, but they’re not quite as reliable at the airport or out here in the suburbs. When you come through the “Fort Pitt Tunnels” you’ll be greeted all of a sudden with one of the most insane and beautiful views ever. Known as “The front door to Pittsburgh”, it’s really impressive!
Start Time
The first thing to plan around is a schedule of working on rings from 8am till 8pm. We generally finish earlier then this, but still sometimes even finish later- especially if you’re making 2 rings and have no experience. It’s a long day, but we’re going to be having fun the whole time, and we’ll make it memorable! The reason I like to start by pointing out this timeline is- you’re going home EXHAUSTED from this day, so seriously…. don’t go planning to drive 3 hours home that evening, or planning major evening activities in town for that night, or really even worrying about getting a nicer hotel…. you’re just going to sleep.
Snacks and Food
We will be providing snacks throughout the day, good snacks! We’ll reach out to finalize snacks and things.
We generally eat a late lunch of pizza or Pittsburgh’s signature “primanti brothers sandwich” around 1 or 2pm, right after the machining portion of things. If you’ve got special dietary restrictions, we’ll find ya some food!
We have some pretty awesome pizza shops around here, this won’t be your boring chain pizza!
